More than 390 million people across Africa, 32% of its population, still lack access to safely managed drinking water.

The need for WASH solutions has never been more urgent,
the Water Access Catalyst exists to close that gap.

Israel is one of the world's most advanced water technology nations, having built a world-class water technology ecosystem.

How Does the Process of WAC Look?

Our goal is to bring Israeli technologies to leading WASH projects and implementers, with the intention of improving service delivery, access, reach, and positive impact. Through the process, we support partnerships far beyond the initial introduction.

From needs identification, expectations settings, and partner matching to providing funding up to $50,000 USD for pilot implementation, and $15,000 for feasibility studies, Nura works closely with all parties to help navigate the complexities of collaboration and create a clear pathway from initial engagement to successful collaboration.

How it works:

01

            Identify -
Pinpointing the needs

We spend time in the field across Sub-Saharan Africa, starting with Kenya and Tanzania. Meeting utilities. Sitting with NGOs. Talking to communities about their challenges and priorities.

02

              Match -
Finding the right fit

Once needs are identified, we scan the Israeli water-tech ecosystem for solutions. We work with companies that have proven technologies and the commitment to engage with African partners, preparing them for the local context.

              Execute -
Turning Opportunity into action

Expectations building, technical alignment, technology adaptation, fundraising, and ongoing partnership support through facilitation, field visits, grant funding, and hands-on development.

The strongest partnerships are built on shared purpose, aligned incentives, and long-term commitment.

That's what we build for.
