Israel is one of the world's most advanced water technology nations, having built a world-class water technology ecosystem. Meanwhile, across Southern and Eastern Africa, the need for WASH solutions has never been more urgent.

Many regions in Sub-Saharan Africa struggle with delivering safe drinking water to their rapidly growing population. Despite progress in recent decades, more than 390 million people across the region — 32% of its population — still lack access to safely managed drinking water, while rapid population growth places increasing pressure on already strained water systems.
Water resources are increasingly affected by climate pressures, overexploitation, and contamination. At the same time, utilities often struggle with high levels of non-revenue water, while many rural water systems face maintenance and sustainability challenges. Together, these factors create an urgent need for practical, scalable solutions that can strengthen water service delivery and expand access to safe drinking water.
